Find your SIM card number for number porting

When you port (move) your number to Clientflow for full phone handling, our telecom partner needs two things from you: the number you want to use in Clientflow and the SIM card number of the SIM that number currently lives on. This guide shows where to find both — on iPhone and Android, and whether you use a physical SIM or an eSIM.

What we need

Two pieces of information:

  1. The phone number you want to move to Clientflow — typically your current main number (e.g. +45 70 20 30 40).
  2. The SIM card number (ICCID) of the SIM that number uses right now. It's a long string of 19–20 digits that starts with 89.

The SIM card number is not the same as the IMEI. The SIM card number (ICCID) identifies the SIM itself and starts with 89. The IMEI is a 15-digit number that identifies the phone — we do not need it for porting. Send us the ICCID, not the IMEI.

Both physical SIM cards and eSIMs have an ICCID — so the steps are the same regardless of which kind of SIM you use. The only difference: on a physical SIM you can also read the number printed on the plastic card, whereas an eSIM can only be seen in the phone's settings.

Find the SIM card number on iPhone (iOS)

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap General → About.
  3. Scroll down to the section for your plan/SIM. ICCID is listed there — that's your SIM card number.

If you have several lines (e.g. a physical SIM and an eSIM), each line is shown separately with its own ICCID under About. Pick the line that has the number you want to port.

Alternative path: Settings → Cellular (Mobile) → tap the plan/line you want to move → scroll down to ICCID.

Tap and hold the ICCID row to copy the number so you avoid typos.

Find the SIM card number on Android

The exact path varies slightly between brands (Samsung, Google Pixel, Xiaomi, OnePlus and others), but the number always lives under the phone information:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to About phone.
  3. Tap SIM status (on Samsung: SIM card status).
  4. Find ICCID in the list — that's your SIM card number.

Can't find the menu item? Try searching for "ICCID" or "SIM status" in the search box at the top of Settings. On some Samsung models the SIM details live under Settings → Connections → SIM manager → tap the SIM card.

Shortcut with a physical SIM: the ICCID is also printed directly on the plastic SIM card — the long string that starts with 89. Pop the SIM out and you can read it from there. An eSIM has no plastic, so use the steps above instead.

How to send us the details

You request your number from inside Clientflow:

  1. Go to Settings → Email & Telephony and open the Telephony tab.
  2. Click Request new number.
  3. Enter the number you want to move and choose what the number should do (send/receive SMS, inbound/outbound calls).
  4. Put the SIM card number (ICCID) in the Notes field.

Our support team then gets in touch and handles the rest of the port — you don't need to do anything else. Read more about the whole phone system in Telephony: Calls, phone menu and voicemail, and see pricing on the pricing page.

FAQ: SIM card number and porting

What's the difference between the SIM card number and the IMEI?
The SIM card number (ICCID) identifies the SIM and starts with 89 — it's 19–20 digits long. The IMEI identifies the phone itself and is 15 digits. For porting we need the ICCID, not the IMEI.
Does this work with eSIM?
Yes. An eSIM also has an ICCID. You'll find it on iPhone under Settings → General → About and on Android under Settings → About phone → SIM status — the same place as for a physical SIM. The only difference is that an eSIM can't be read off a physical card.
I can't find the ICCID on the About screen — what do I do?
Search for "ICCID" or "SIM status" in the search box at the top of Settings. On iPhone you can also go to Settings → Cellular and tap the line. If you're still unsure, just write that in the Notes field when you request the number and our support team will help you the rest of the way.
Do I need to cancel my current phone subscription first?
No — don't cancel your current subscription before the port is complete. The port moves the number automatically and replaces the subscription for that number. If you cancel it yourself beforehand, you risk losing the number.
My number is in a router, terminal or prepaid SIM — can you still port it?
Usually yes, as long as you can find the SIM card number (ICCID) on the card or in the device it sits in. Send us the number you want to move and the ICCID in Notes, and our support team will assess what's possible.
